Hon. Mrs. Melrose Karminty

Welcome to the Official Website of the Ministry of Social Welfare

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Ministry of Social Welfare.

Our Ministry is committed to promoting the dignity, well-being, and inclusion of every citizen by developing and implementing policies and programmes that protect the rights of vulnerable individuals and strengthen social protection systems. We work tirelessly to support children, older persons, persons with disabilities, survivors of gender-based violence, and other vulnerable groups, ensuring that no one is left behind.

This website serves as a gateway to information about our mandate, policies, services, programmes, and ongoing initiatives. It has been designed to enhance transparency, improve access to public information, and foster meaningful engagement between the Ministry, our partners, and the citizens we serve.

We recognize that achieving sustainable social development requires collaboration. We therefore value the contributions of government institutions, development partners, civil society organizations, the private sector, and communities across the country. Together, we can build a more inclusive, equitable, and compassionate society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

I encourage you to explore our website, stay informed about our work, and engage with us by sharing your ideas, feedback, and suggestions. Your participation is essential as we continue to improve the quality and accessibility of social welfare services.
